How to use

I use my roll on all the time. I had a nice fat blister from a new pair of shoes last week. The blister broke and it hurt so much so I cleaned the area and used the Rock Star and covered it lightly with a band aid. The pain stopped immediately and the next day it looked better so I applied it all again and by the third day I was able to leave the band aid off and it looked dry and healing.

Eczema relief. Rockstar Entourage is my windex! So naturally when my daughter got a bad case of eczema my first thought was “Rockstar!” She rolled it on the area in the morning and at night for two days she not only had itch relief, the redness and pimply look was gone! Love this stuff!

It works great on my aging, sensitive skin providing relief and nutrition as soon as I apply it. It is great for travelling and i love even using it during a long fly on my face. Recovery from broken hand. Last year I broke my thumb and sprained my hand in a ski accident. The injury healed perfectly but I now have some arthritis throughout my hand. I use Rockstar RollOn Entourage twice a day and the discomfort is totally gone!!

Rock star roll on Entourage. I use this on my face when I have a Trigeminal neuralgia flare. It helps with the pain of my sinus also use it behind my ears and under arms for a great feeling . The smell is wonderful. Love all Rockstar products! They keep me happy!

Not an oil at all ~ a liquid wax, pressed from the seed of a Sonoran Desert shrub the O'odham called hohowi and used on skin and hair long before anyone bottled it. Structurally close to the skin's own wax esters, which is why it feels like nothing. In 1971 it replaced sperm-whale oil, and the whales are still here.

Also in the blend: frankincense carterii, clary sage, carrot seed, thyme, niaouli, cedarwood atlas, cypress, blue tansy, blue cypress, juniper berry, black pepper and ylang ylang.

Why the Roll On

An entourage ~ on purpose.

Before kids, plants & the rest, I learned to run a soundboard. I was nineteen, at NYU, in a room full of faders and frequencies, learning that in a mix everything affects everything else and the job is to hear what’s out of balance and bring it back without stopping the music.

Years later, rebuilding after cancer, I discovered the endocannabinoid system and one day it hit me and I swear I laughed out loud.

It’s a soundboard! It is the most important mixing desk you will ever own, and your skin has its own channel on it.

So I did not build a roll-on around one loud ingredient. I built a band.

Full-spectrum hemp sits center stage, 333 mg of the whole plant. Behind it, three botanicals that share one molecule: copaiba, black pepper and frankincense serrata. Then the deep CO₂ extracts, frankincense carterii, turmeric, German chamomile, blue tansy, helichrysum, the ones you can’t get by steam. And a base of jojoba, sea buckthorn seed and carrot seed oils, chosen because they behave like skin instead of sitting on top of it. Twenty-one botanicals. Every one of them has a part. This is my rockstar apothecary in a glass roller.

What the research says about what's inside.

  • Your skin has its own ECS. A landmark 2009 review laid out a working endocannabinoid system right there in human skin, and its main job appears to be keeping skin cells in balance.[1] That is the reason a hemp-led formula belongs on skin at all.
  • β-caryophyllene. The molecule copaiba, black pepper and frankincense have in common. Shown in 2008, in the lab and in mice, to bind your CB2 receptor.[2] Three plants, one chorus.
  • The entourage idea. In 2011 a widely cited review made the case that cannabinoids and terpenes may do more together than any of them do alone.[3] It is a hypothesis with good science behind it and the human proof still ahead of it. I built this bottle to be worth testing against it.
  • Whole plant, never isolate. The 2015 mouse study again: whole-plant extract kept tracking with the dose where purified CBD didn’t.[4]

What we haven't proven yet.

Every finding above is about an ingredient or a molecule. Not one is about this roll-on. That’s the next job, and I want it badly: clinical trials on our own formulas, stacked on top of existing ingredient science. We'll keep you posted.
