Episode Highlights

There's everything competing for your attention
"This question that I'm going to ask Heather to start today's episode is not only important to Heather, but I think it's important to lots of people who are new to this notion of taking responsibility for their own health. There's all these things on the market. There's everything competing for your attention. The question is, how can a topical product and how can topical absorption fuel total fundamental body wellness? Aren't the effects of topicals only skin deep?" John
Botanicals really do work together
"I always say the sum is greater than the part. That's the beautiful thing about botanicals ~ you see this in nature. You see a beautiful herb garden, and everybody's growing in harmony. You might need to keep the mint away from the comfrey or something like that because some people can't play nicely together. But you see the harmony of all these plants and how they'll protect each other from insects and predators... these botanicals really do work together. And the beauty of them, coupled with jojoba, is that you can get right into those cells. You're not asking your digestive system to do anything. If your body doesn't like it, it will be like, oh, I don't like this, and you're done." Heather
Understand what you're taking
"... the point is that you have the ability to do so much for your own health if you just take a few moments and understand what you're taking and what you're spending money on, and is it working, and how is it working, and are there any repercussions from what you're doing?" Heather
Buying less stuff, doing more things.
"Because let's be honest, if you're listening to this, you may very well be like me, and you've researched a ton of things, and you've given your family a ton of different things over the years. What's working and what's not? What's being absorbed and what's not? How can we improve upon that so that one, we're buying less stuff, and two, it's doing more things." Heather
