Turning On Your Superheroine
Starting with a big question - why it is imperative for women to rediscover their voice now - Heather and Dr. Tina dive deep into how women's expectations and experiences are shaped by societal expectations and norms. Women have actual superpowers - like bringing new life into the world. Why doesn't our culture in general seem to see us that way? As women, how can we turn on the superheroine already inside each one of us?
What does it mean to really listen to your body and understand its signals, instead of listening to something else? How do we help ourselves - and each other - find lessons in pain, challenges, even disease? More importantly, how can we learn to hear our bodies signaling the need for change?
Dr. Tina shares experiences and observations that have lead her to conclude that staying "turned on" with pleasure and joy is essential for living the life we want, while living in pain and constant suffering will likely lead us to overall stagnation and even further illness.
Dr. Tina speaks to the importance of sexuality for our greater wellness, expanding the notion beyond the physical act to a state of being truly present and experiencing pleasure beyond societal boundaries, which often prevent women from fully owning their sexuality and pleasure.
Finally, Dr. Tina introduces the concept of erotic blueprints, which help us better understand the different ways that different people experience arousal and pleasure, including ourselves and our partners. Relaxation, self-care, and creating balance come up, as well as the importance of open communication for our greater well being, especially in menopause, which can change a woman's sexual blueprint altogether.

Episode Highlights
every day you get to choose
"Unless you're turned on, you're going to die. Unless you're alive and vibrant and living, you're dying. So every day you get to choose, are you living or dying?"
just being present to the moment
"The energetic [erotic blueprint] is connecting to that which is bigger than us. A sunrise. Being in nature. Like I can literally have a physical orgasm just watching a sunset or just being present to the moment. I can be sitting in my car and breathing and get myself turned on, right? Yeah - that's a superpower."
just being present to the moment
"I'm allowed to have sexuality and I'm allowed to have pleasure. And how many women, we don't even know how to say, this is what I want. Because they don't know what they want because we were taught your bodies aren't your own. It's. You can't touch your body until you have to save it for marriage. Which means it's not yours, it's someone else's body."
Turn on yourself
"Turn on yourself when you're telling your story. You understand who you really are. You're the universe, human form, air, water and fire. "
you can make all of them even greater
" I just want to tell all your rockstar GenXers out there going through menopause: it is the beginning of a new phase of your life. You can still be the maid, the matron, you know, the mother, the crone, and the seductress. And you can make all of them even greater because you're constantly retelling your story for your pleasure.... turn everyone around you on and spread your wisdom. Because every human has wisdom. And if we could put 7 billion heads together, we'd actually solve the world problems."
